London | Luxembourg | Milan, 7 October 2026 – EOS Investment Management Group (EOS IM), an independent, multi-strategy alternative asset manager and a leading player in sustainable investment and the energy transition, specialising in identifying and developing opportunities within the key long-term industrial megatrends, announces the completion of the sale, by EOS ReNewable Infrastructure Fund II (the “Fund”), of a portfolio of two operational utility-scale solar power plants in Italy with a total installed capacity of approximately 54 MWp.

The portfolio comprises a 46.5 MWp plant in the Sardinia region within the Macchiareddu industrial district, and a 7.4 MWp plant in the Lazio region. EOS IM acquired both projects at ready-to-build stage and, acting as an active industrial sponsor, led the finalisation of the permitting process, procurement, construction and commissioning, bringing both plants into commercial operation in 2025 – within approximately two years from acquisition. The largest part of the Sardinian plant's capacity benefits from a 20-year incentive tariff awarded under the FER 1 scheme. The portfolio contributes directly to the production of 90 GWh renewable energy annually, capable of serving more than 33,000 Italian households, contributing to the reduction of more than 38,000 tons of CO₂ emissions equivalent.

The transaction forms part of the active portfolio management strategy of EOS IM's Clean Energy platform aiming to crystallise the value created through the development, construction and commissioning phases – as well as through capital-efficient and innovative financing structures put in place during the holding period – and to optimise returns for investors. It reflects the Group's industrial approach, focused on developing and enhancing infrastructure assets in the real economy in support of the green transition and the energy security.

The competitive sale process attracted strong interest from Italian and international investors, confirming the strong appetite of top-tier institutional and industrial investors for de-risked, operational utility-scale renewable assets in Italy, and concluded with the acquisition by Sonnedix, a global renewable energy company with over 11.5 GW of installed capacity across ten OECD countries. The transaction is the second between EOS IM and Sonnedix in 2026, following the sale, completed in March, of a 194 MWp operational solar portfolio in the Lazio region held by the Fund in joint venture with a lead international investor – a repeat transaction that stands as a strong endorsement of the quality of the assets originated, built and managed by EOS IM.

“With this transaction the Fund completes its second exit in 2026, two successful realisations in six months, and has now returned to its investors close to half of the capital invested since inception. Together, the two exits demonstrate EOS IM's ability to originate, build, finance and monetise utility-scale renewable infrastructure across the full investment cycle, delivering tangible returns to investors while actively contributing to Italy's energy transition”. said Natalino Mngillo, Managing Partner & Founder at EOS Investment Management.
